We’ve been cooking here since 1954.

Sepp and Rosi Mustermann run the inn in the third generation. Bavarian cooking, a lunch menu on weekdays, a roast on Sundays. Upstairs there are eight guest rooms. Tuesday is our rest day.

A double room in the morning

The rooms

Two singles, five doubles and one triple room. All with shower and toilet, four with a balcony facing the local mountain. Breakfast is included.

Twenty four seats for birthdays, christenings, small weddings and funeral receptions. Fixed menu prices.

What’s on

Bavarian cooking, no detours.

Schweinsbraten with crackling and potato Knödel. Schnitzel, Leberkäs with a fried egg, beef goulash with bread Knödel. Trout on Fridays. Without meat there’s Käsespätzle and mushroom goulash.

On Sundays roasts from 11:30, while they last. From October to January there’s duck too. It’s worth calling ahead on a Sunday, because the Stube is usually full.

Anyone who eats here should leave full and know what’s on their plate.

The Stube

Sixty seats, one regulars’ table.

The paneled Stube dates from 1954, and so does the tiled stove. Sixty seats, plus a side room with twenty four. In summer there are twelve tables outside under the chestnut trees.

The regulars’ table is taken from 19:00. You’re still welcome to sit there. We’ll just squeeze up.

We’ve been driving here for the Sunday roast for years. The crackling is right, the Knödel doesn’t fall apart, and nobody rushes you. Sepp recognizes you the second time you come.

We had our daughter’s christening in the side room, twenty four people. Everything on time, everything hot, and the price we agreed beforehand was exactly what ended up on the bill.

Clean room, plenty for breakfast, friendly staff. Two things I’ll be honest about. The stairs up are steep and there’s no elevator. Not a problem for us, but it would be for my mother. And on Saturday night the Stube was loud, and our room was right above it.

Lunch menu for €9.80 with soup. I live in the village and go twice a week. There’s always something without meat, which isn’t a given around here.

The kitchen closes an hour before the inn does, on Sundays at 19:30. Hotel guests still get their breakfast on Tuesdays.

Closed for two weeks in November and one week after Easter.
