Thomas Eichinger is the person behind PEAK. Every site is built without a template, specifically for the business it is made for. No website builder, no bought theme.
That is why two PEAK sites side by side don’t look like siblings. A guesthouse needs something different from a painting business. With a ready made template both get the same frame and have to squeeze into it.
You deal with the same person from start to finish. No sales rep, no waiting on hold. And if something isn’t right, we come by. The Chiemgau is small.
What businesses ask us
What does the draft cost me?
Nothing. We build a homepage for your business and you take a look at it. Only if you want to go ahead does it become an order.
How long until the site is live?
Usually 14 days from the day you say yes, as long as we get photos and copy from you quickly. Without your content we can’t finish.
I don’t have any good photos. What now?
We take photos with a phone. For most businesses that’s plenty. If you’d like professional photos, we’ll arrange a photographer. That costs extra.
What about my old website and my domain?
The domain stays yours. We move it over, take the old site offline and make sure nobody ends up on an error page.
Do I really own the site afterwards?
Yes. No forced subscription, no rental setup. If you cancel maintenance, you get all the files and can carry on with anyone you like.
Can I change things myself later?
Yes. You get a walkthrough for opening hours, prices and copy. Bigger changes we do ourselves. Maintenance Complete includes two hours a month for that.
What happens to my site if you can’t carry on one day?
Your site is hand built HTML. There is no system running in the background that someone has to look after. It sits on ordinary web space and simply keeps working there. You have the files and logins anyway, so any other provider can take it over.
Is the site legally safe?
A legal notice (Impressum) under § 5 DDG, a privacy policy, no Google Fonts loaded from outside servers, and a build that follows WCAG 2.1 AA. As a service provider we can’t give a legally binding guarantee. That’s a job for a lawyer.
What happens if I’m not happy anymore after a year?
Then you cancel maintenance at the end of the month. You get all the files and the login details, and your site keeps running, just without us.
How many rounds of changes are included?
Unlimited until you sign off. We keep working on it until it’s right. After that, small text changes are included in Basic, and bigger changes in Complete with two hours a month. Anything beyond that we bill at €60 an hour, always agreed with you first.
I don’t have any copy at all. Will you write it?
Yes. That’s included in the Ridge and Summit packages. All we need is one conversation with you. You talk, we write.
Do you do Instagram, Facebook and the like as well?
Yes. We set up your profiles on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, plus your Google Business Profile. Each profile costs €62.50, the Google Business Profile on its own €89. All four together cost €199. Set up means profile and cover image, description, contact details and the link to your website. The logins are in your name. If you like, we also take over the posting. About two posts a week from your photos cost €160 a month per channel, cancellable monthly.
Will people find me more easily on Google afterwards?
Your site is built cleanly, it’s fast and it works on a phone. Those are the basics. If you want, we’ll set up your Google Business Profile, but that’s a separate offer for €89 and isn’t part of any package. Nobody can honestly promise you the top spot, though. If someone does, don’t hire them.
What will it cost me on an ongoing basis?
The domain is €5 to €15 a year. On top of that, if you want it, Maintenance Basic for €39 or Complete for €89 a month. Without maintenance you only pay for hosting, usually under €5 a month.
Do I have to pay up front?
Not the full amount. Half is due when you place the order, the other half once the site is online.
Do you work outside the Chiemgau too?
Yes, technically it works anywhere. But our advantage is that we can come by in person. That’s why we focus on the region.
