Sepp and Rosi Mustermann have run the inn since 1998. Before them it was his parents, and before that his grandfather.
In 1954 Michael Mustermann got permission to serve drinks on the ground floor of his home. The cooking only started two years later, once the Stube was finished. The guest rooms were added in 1968, when the first summer visitors from the Ruhr started coming down to the valley.
In 1979 his son Alois took over with his wife Anni. During their time the attic was converted and four rooms became eight. In 1998 they handed over to Sepp.
What has happened since then is on the right. It’s not a long list. We only renovate when something is broken or no longer works for us.

Cooks. Trained chef, in the house since 1998. She’s in the kitchen from nine, makes the lunch menu and the Sunday roast. Does her own shopping.
Bar, service, invoices, reservations. Trained hotel specialist, did his training in the neighboring town. Picks up the phone when it rings.
Two permanent waitresses, a weekend helper and a kitchen assistant. For parties their daughter, who studies in the state capital, comes and helps.
Not everything comes from here. Lemons don’t grow in the valley, and neither does the rice for the rice pudding. Where we can, we buy in the village. Not because it reads well, but because then you know who to call when something isn’t right.
